The study was cautious while selecting the data to be used in the study to ensure that only relevant databases were included in the investigation. Particularly, databases with medical journals such as EBSCO and Pub Med and ProQuest were targeted in the collection of secondary information relevant to the topic. In order to ensure credibility, research based, and peer reviewed articles were included in the search. Accordingly, the search emphasized on the keywords like adherence, non-adherence, behavior, medical regimen and factors. The study examined conditions that require medical regimens for effective management and care. These included evaluation of heart conditions, diabetes, cancer and HIV/AIDs.
